What Your InBody Scan Actually Tells You
The scale tells you one number. The InBody tells you the story behind it.
Body weight is the least informative number in fitness. Lose five pounds of muscle and gain five of fat, and the scale calls it even — while your metabolism, strength and health quietly move backward. The InBody scan separates the story into its parts.
In under a minute, the scan estimates your skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass and total body water, segment by segment. You’ll see whether your legs and arms are balanced, how much lean mass you carry, and where you hold fat.
The two numbers worth watching are skeletal muscle mass and percent body fat — trending over months, not days. A good training block often shows the scale flat while muscle climbs and fat falls. Without the scan, you’d never know it was working.
Scan every four to eight weeks under similar conditions — same time of day, hydrated, before a workout. Then sit down with a trainer to read the results together and adjust your plan. The scan is included in your journey at the MAC; the insight is free.
