The Montana Athletic Club is a shared space for great people. Here's how we all keep it that way.
The Montana Athletic Club is a shared space for lots of great people. In the interest of being courteous to other members, respectful of the equipment, and creating a safe, pleasant, and user-friendly environment, please observe these gym etiquette Do's and Don'ts.
DON'TS: Don't hog the equipment. If you're resting between sets, step away so someone else can use it. Don't pile several dumbbells at your weight bench. Don't stand too close to the weight stacks – other members need easy access to the rack. Don't drop your weights or make loud grunting noises. Don't use the mirrors for selfies – they exist for form and technique. Don't overdo perfume or cologne. Don't interrupt classes by arriving late or leaving early. Don't talk on your cell phone on the gym floor. Don't bring your gym bag onto the gym floor – use the locker room. Don't offer unsolicited advice to other members.
DO'S: Do dress appropriately – leave tattered or odorous workout clothes at home. Do wipe down equipment when done. Do stay home if you are sick. Do be considerate of others' space in classes. Do put all equipment back where it belongs. Do respect others' personal space. Do be flexible with your routine if the gym is crowded. Do be mindful of your surroundings – the gym can be dangerous when you're not alert. Do plan your workouts so things flow smoothly. Do stay off your phone during your workout.
Thank you for making the MAC a great place for everyone.
